CDO WEST 1 DISTRICT MEET CHAMPION XAVIER UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL TEAM WITH RUNNER-UP ROSEVALE SCHOOL TEAM AFTER THEIR MATCH AT THE GUSA GYM.

THE Xavier University girls showed that they are ready for the CdO Division meet Girls High School Futsal competition next month after they rolled over two opposing teams in the West 1 District meet at the Barangay Gusa covered court.

The XU girls of coach Dhon Lazo are bannered by some players who saw action in the Vigan Palarong Pambansa, last summer.

They showed their class and proved that they are in a different league as they whipped St. Mary’s Academy of Carmen, 9-0 and then completed their quest with a 9-3 win over the hard fighting and younger Rosevale School squad.

Vigan Palaro veteran Zippy Moss Medalla led the XU girls charge against SMAC scoring a hat trick while Ann Patricia Edma added two goals.

The Lazo sisters Mikaella, Lourinne, and Nizaa scored one goal each while Jillian Bergado, completed the rout.

Medalla, Edma and Bergado also scored two goals each against Rosevale School while the Lazo sisters Lourinne, Mikaella and Nizaa scored one goal each to advance to the CdO Division meet.

Rosevale tried to rally in the second half with Malaika Chavez scoring her own hat trick. Her efforts were however too late.

Chavez also led the Rosevale School girls in their 6-3 win against SMA with three goals. Fatima Arcadio also added two goals and Renee Lazo one goal.

SMAC tried to rally in the second half with Rica Asas scoring her own hat trick. Her efforts however came too late.
