CMORFA sets on-line refereeing courses on Feb. 20-21, March 6-7

COVID has stopped the children playing football but the newly formed Camiguin Misamis Oriental Regional Football Association (CMORFA) has just started to flex its muscles to organise two online referees seminars for young and upcoming officials in the regional.

BASIC FUTSAL REFEREEING COURSE

CMORFA president Mike Batiles recently announced that the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has helped them organise this project in preparation for the post Covid19 football activities for Misamis Oriental and the island province of Camiguin.

He added that the online referees courses are set on Feb. 20-21 (Sat.-Sun. 8 am-5 p.m) for Futsal Basic Refereeing Course then on March 6-7 (Sat…-Sun. 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) for Football Basic Refeeing Course.

 “I am inviting all the charter members of CMORFA to attend thses courses. It is free and now there is no reason to attend,’’ he said.

Batiles added that these projects are fruits of the labor of the Futsal and Referees committees.

The Futsal Basic Refereeing Course will be on Feb. 20-21 and is organised by the Futsal Committee Chairman Ronald Tablang and Futsal coach Dhon Lazo while working for the Football Basic Refereeing Course set on March 6-7 is organise by Referees Committe hear Choco Abian with the help of referees group head Rene Neri.

Batilles also added that all charter members of CMORFA are entitled to send two participants for every courses.

Charter school members of CMORFA  Abba’s Orchard School FC, Corpus Christi FC,  Lumbia Raptors FC, Rosevale School FC, USTP FC, and XU Cruzaders.

School charter members from outside Cagayan de Oro  are Malangka FC, MMK FC, Manuel Lugod FC, San Luis FC, GCC Vikings from Ginggoog City while other members include Azkib FC Magsaysay, of Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental, and Sugbongcogon FC, of Sugbongcogon Misamis Oriental, Naawan FC and Opol FC also Misamis Oriental.

Included also in the CMORFA are club based charter members in Cagayan de Oro and Gingoog City. They are VCU/Glorious Hope FC, Higala FC, Hillsiders FC, Magis FC, Montecarlo FC, Sabado Gang FC, Surposa FC, Golden City FC, Adogs FC, Ambassador FC, GAFC, Youngsters United FC, and Invictus FC.

Newly elected members of the CMORFA Board of Directors are Batiles, Tablang, Abian, Jake Lopez, Don Derequito, Aldo Obenza, Julie Popovic, Jerry Sabanal, Rene Batar, and Aliver Aguaviva. JB
