CDO United FC-Rosevale School joins SHS-Ateneo de Cebu tournament

OFF TO CEBU. CDO UNITED FC-ROSEVALE TEAM CROWNED AS BOYS 18 CHAMPS IN THE MAGIS FC FOOTBALL FESTIVAL JOIN THE SHS-ATENEO DE CEBU 11-ASIDE INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT AT THE ATENEO DE CEBU MANDAUE CITY CAMPUS PITCH.

A STRONG CDO United-Rosevale School squad is joining the 3rd Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu 11-Aside Invitational tournament which kicks off today at the SHS-Ateneo Mandaue Cebu campus football pitch.

The tournament organized by Engr. Nilo Ferraren, is for players born 2003 and above. Some twelve teams from Visayas and Mindanao including CDO United FC-Rosevale School are entered in the two-day bootfest.

Other teams joining are Sagay FC of Sagay Negros Occidental, St. Mary’s School of Minglanilla, Cebu, and University of San Carlos Basic Education Department of Cebu City in Group A.

In Group B are Gaher FC of Bohol, host Sacred Heart School, and Don Bosco Technology School Cebu Magone team. The CDO United FC-Rosevale School in in Group C with Guiseppe FC Cebu City, and Abellana National High School Pomeroy also of Cebu City.

Group D are Matrix FC of Bohol, DBTC Savio Team, and Don Bosco Boys Home of Liloan, Cebu.

Top two teams in each Group will advance to the knockout quarterfinals winners will then advance to the semis and then the final.

CDO United FC-Rosevale School line-up includes Lyle Dy, JL Cascara, Ino Butaslac, John Gementiza, Dave Mendoza, July Vicente, Dale Anoya, Luigi Awayan, Francis Mendoza, Aaron Magadan, Mamat Cascara, Faris Mangotara, Zack Orate and Earl Saplot. Head coach Mario Sumampong and newly signed coach Adamson Deloria are with the team.

They sailed for Cebu last night and are scheduled to play against Guiseppe FC in their first match and then ANS Pomeroy in their second match.

The CDO United FC is supported by the football parents of Rosevale School led by Charles and Menchu Dy, Jeff Casara,Aldwin Gementiza, Marlon Casas, Yves Tapalla, Gigi Mangotara, and Gigi Martinez Lazaga. (l.biantan@gmail.com)
