BUKIDNON FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (BUFA) COACH GUILLIER SUMAMPONG PICKS A GROUP B PINGPONG BALL DURING THE COACHES MEETING OF THE LUZON CUP IN TARLAC CITY.
BUKIDNON Football Association (BUFA) boys coach Guillier Sumampong is worried when they open their campaign in the Luzon Cup at the Jose V. Yap Sports and Recreational Park in San Jose, Tarlac City this morning against tough and NOFA Cup 2018 champion One La Salle.
“They are big and probably they are good. I have not seen them play but I saw the boys. However we will just play our game,’’ coach Gillier said during the coaches meeting Thursday evening at the Sto. Christo School in Tarlac City.
Despite of his apprehension, coach Guillier is however still confident. He trust his boys. “During the Mindanao Cup we were also bracketed against the tough team from Davao City but we still managed to contain them. I trust my players and we have trained very hard for this,’’ he added.
The One La Salle team of coaches Eric Sardou and Dondon Rosima are early faves in this three day competition which will kickoff today Friday morning at 730 a.m (Nov. 22, 2019).
The team is made up of players from De La Salle Zobel and De La Salle Greenhills under the program of long time and legendary coach Hans Smith.
The Bukidnon boys will play One La Salle at 1:30 p.m. They will open their campaign against Camarines Norte United at 9:20. Their last elimination round match will be against Pangasinan FC on Saturday 8:35 in the morning. Quarterfinals will then follow on Saturday afternoon. (l.biantan@gmail.com)
