Phil Younghusband calls it a day

Philip James Younghusband, the most prolific scorer in Philippine football history with 52 international goals called it quits today. Younghusband was in the Chelsea football academy in England when he was invited by the Philippine Football Federation together with his brother, James, to represent the country during the 2006 SEA games held in Bacolod. In an international career that spanned 13 years, he went on to play on some prestigious competition including the Suzuki Cup and the Asian Cup. He was awarded the male footballer of the year award in 2011 by the sportswriters association of the Philippines. It is not known what his new future plans are but we at pinoyfootball wish him the best!
