Playing under the drizzly heat, Kaya FC-Iloilo seemed to have used the weather to their advantage given the past editions of the league here in the Philippines where usually played under the scorching heat of the sun.
The goal-scoring parade started early for the home side, who’s playing their home match in a virtually-neutral pitch in Panaad Stadium, as Daryl Roberts received a lovely cross from Marwin Angeles. The former Global Cebu FC man scored his first goal for his new club with a header on the second minute of the match to put them into the lead.

The 2018 Copa Paulinto Alcantara champions might’ve limited time with the ball but when they have it, they make sure to use it effectively. After short water break in the first half, Roberts then scored his second in the game as Connor Tacagni fed him a lovely ball.

He would then score another one on the 55th minute to seal the deal for Kaya. Osei piled on the spillage from the keeper to make sure the ball hits the back of the net after his teammate’s initial attempt on goal.

In the end it was a parade of brilliance as Noel Marcaida’s men showed their composure with the ball despite seeing less of it. They only had the possession 36% of the match but they were able to squeeze out 18 shots on goal with six of them hitting on target.
One for the books!!
