BULUA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SECONDARY BOYS FOOTBALL TEAM AND GIRLS FUTSAL TEAM WILL REPRESENT WEST 2 DISTRICT IN THE COMING CAGAYAN DE ORO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CAGAYAN DE ORO DIVISION MEET
BULUA Strikers manned Bulua National High School for the third year in a row dominated the West 2 District meet Secondary Boys and Girls Futsal contests recently winning against various opponents at the Merry Child Football Field in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.
The Bulua boys of coach Junieto Actub, topped the Secondary Boys football defeating Merry Child School, 9-0, Pagapat National High School, 6-0, and Canitoan National High School, 7-0.
Leading the Strikers were the Reyes brothers Marjon, and Mary John Jr., Jasper Jun Actub Zeph Angelo Ladera, Jesus Morandante Jr., John Patrick Encornal, Daniel Jade Pulmones, Leo Hilarion Jr., Rhex Alba, Prenz Ang, Jay Maictin, Jeric Jerome Fernandez, Kent Wilson Gildo, Junnel Villanueva, Jomarie Maagad, Reyds Cabellon, David Litanon, Jhon Jeric Nacasabog, Charles Harold Salon, and Ceazar Brylle Amante.
“We are now reaping our rewards for our sacrifices and hard work, how ever this is just the start of another hard work,’’ said coach and BNHS teacher Jun Actub.
He added that the Division meet will tough for both teams as defending champions Corpus Christi School in the Secondary Boys and Xavier University in Girls Futsal are strong teams.
“Plus powerhouse Rosevale School in the Secondary Boys and St. Mary’s School in the Girls Futsal are also very strong. The Division meet will be tough,’’ coach Actub added.
The BNHS Girls Futsal team also defeated Canitoan NHS, 3-1, Pedro Oloy Roa NHS, 7-1, and Pagatpat NHS, 3-0.
Leading the Bulua Girls were members of the CDO in Batang Pinoy National Championship silver medalists in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Liezel-An Catamco,and Marie Frances Clyde Sebial.
Completing the Bulua Futsal Girls team were Hannah Naldo, Pearl Marquez, Jasmine Tadena, Jerith Dimple Apolo, Louiza Beatrice Lim, Crissa Jane Mayola, Arnnie Lyn Dazo, Stephanie Martinez, Queency Love Canaman, Carol Jane Lantaya, Dizza Acop, Mary Joy Navarro, and Elmera Guevarra.
