Hyenas of Davao whip San Beda

DAVAO’S HYENAS FC KICKS OFF ITS CAMPAIGN IN THE PINAS CUP WTH A 5-0 WIN OVER SAN BEDA COLLEGE.

THE Hyenas FC of Davao leaned on their reinforcements from Rosevale School of Cagayan de Oro City to whip San Beda College, 5-0, at the start of the Pinas Cup Boys 14 category at the Clark Free Port fields in Pampanga.

Vigan Palaro veteran Vinson Manubag opened the scoring for the Hyenas while Saguran Punda then made it 2-0 to start the Hyenas charge.

From then on it was an all Hyenas affair as Zidane Denosta scored a brace to put them up front, 4-0. JR Castro then completed the rout with another goal to kickoff the Hyenas campaign on a high note.

The Hyenas will play two matches on Sunday against a strong Negros First team at 8 a.m. and then against La Salle Greenhills at 2 p.m. They will then end their elimination round campaign with a match against Bohemian Sporting Club at 8 a.m Monday. The Semis and the Championship will be on Tuesday.

Aside from Manubag and Denosta, the Rosevale School players playing for the Hyenas include Palaro veterans Mamat Cascara, Aaron Magadan, Dale Anoya, Terrence Mayne and Raphael Caintic.

Coaching them are Sandro Balderas (head coach) and Imardino Polo (assistant coach) while sponsors are Virginia Farms, JTS Manukan, and Parents of Hyenas FC. (l.biantan@gmail.com)
