Azkals to gun for historic win vs Nepal Nov.14

AFTER our National youth teams and our National Futsal teams suffered humiliating defeats abroad, hope arises for football our fans.
The Philippine Azkals bring in so much hope as they are on the brink of historic qualification for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup 2019 for the first time when they take on Nepal away from home in the Himalayan city of Kathmandu on Nov. 14.
The Azkals need to win against Nepal as it will assure them of an outright qualification for next year’s tournament set at the United Arab Emirates. They will top Group F if they win and a loss would surely give another misery to the thousands of their supporters.
A draw will complicate things in the standings as Yemen and Tajikistan will also square off at the same day at the different venue and wait for the outcome of the Azkals clash vs Nepal.
Right now, the Azkals lead Group F with two wins, two draws and no loss slate and leading the group with eight points. They will be unreachable by their rivals if they earn three more points and pile up a total of 12.
The Azkals won over Nepal in their first meeting at the Rizal Memorial, 4-1 in March. They then defeated the Tajiks at their home soil 4-3 and managed to draw Yemen twice, one at the Panaad stadium in Bacolod and in Doha.
Yemen and Tajikistan trail the Azkals with six points each and will pray really hard that the Azkals stumble against Nepal to steal three points and slide into the little hole to UAE.
But the Azkals will still have another match at home next year against the Tajiks. Nepal will be a soft target for the Azkals and hopefully they will not need to complicate things and secure a victory.(

  1. Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
