THE cash rich Sabado Gang FC 10th Anniversary Football Festival is set on Oct. 21 at the Westridge Sports Park in Brgy. Carmen.
According to Sabado Gang FC official Percival Batar, the main event of the one-day festival is the competition in the 35 and Above category where the champion team will win P10,000 while the second placer gets P3,000 and third P2,000. They will also get trophies and medals.
Medals and trophies will also be at stake for the Mixed 10 (born 2007) and Boys 12 (born 2005) categories. Entry fees for the 35 and Above is P2,000 while for the Mix 10 and Boys 12 is P1,000. Interested clubs and teams can register with Mr. Batar at 09065969606.
The tournament is a project of the current officers of the club led by president Reinaldo Batar, vice president Edward Raypon, secretary general Eric Sy Pieco, treasurer Jinggoy Ilogon, and board members Michael Neri, Percival Batar, Aldo Obenza, Llyod Lumagbas, and Miguel Lumbay.
The Sabado Gang FC is composed of old players who once played for different clubs in Cagayan de Oro like City Hall FC, Kalambaguhan FC, XU Veritas FC, and Colorville FC.
The group was formed during the time of former Cagayan Misamis Oriental Football Association (CMOFA) president Atty. Allan Abellanosa. The Club started with only 15 players but now they have grown into more than 100 players.
