With Younghusband brothers release, FCMM is in the market for marquee players who will be the face of the club in the current Philippines Football League.
Sources from Spanish media suggests that the club, could be pursuing a well known La Liga player who has played in Spain, England, and Portugal.
The acquisition is more likely now that the Younghusband brothers are not with the club. Having a marquee player in that caliber would not just put the two legends down in the squads pecking order, but also, diminish their status in the club.
Other names that has been brought up as possible replacements for the two players are former Philippine international defender Alvaro Silva, who currently plays for Vietnamese club Ha Noi F.C., left back Kevin Guerra from German club ATSV Erlangen (who once played for the same club as Stephan Schrock, SpVgg Greuther Fürth), also noted are the Fil-Romanian Australia U-23 Perth Glory academy standout Hagi Gligor, and Pancho Fernandez, a Filipino who plays for CD La Serena in Chile’s second division, the Primera B.
